Robin is Head of the Ship Finance and transactional practice in Piraeus. He has almost 30 years’ experience in transactional and advisory shipping work out of London and Piraeus. He has largely focused on the Greek market and is one of few practitioners with a reputation for advising both owners and lenders. His client base includes many of the largest international and Greek financial institutions, as well as major ship owning and managing groups.
Robin is an expert in ship finance and particularly well-known for advising on complex funding structures and acting for owners in equity, lease and alternative financings. He has extensive experience advising banks, lessors and owners on all types of financing arrangements, including lease financing, syndicated and club deals and pre-and post-delivery financings, as well as distressed debt, rescheduling and restructuring arrangements.
Robin’s expertise extends to documenting and negotiating shipping and trade contracts, from straightforward sale and purchase and newbuilding agreements, to charterparties and joint ventures.
