Ince product: GDPR

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force on 25 May 2018, replacing the UK’s current data protection framework. UK companies that already comply with the UK Data Protection Act will have a good foundation for meeting the requirements of the GDPR.  However, the GDPR applies to all organisations that operate both within and outside the EU and which offer goods and services to customers in the EU and who gather, retain and share personal data

Compliance with the GDPR is a key business priority which companies in all economic sectors across the globe should now be addressing.

Are you ready for GDPR?

No matter where your business is based or how large it is, if you currently gather, retain and share personal data on EU customers, it is vital that you take steps now to ensure you are compliant by 25 May 2018.

A first step is to undertake an information audit to help you identify what data your business currently holds, whether it is stored correctly and regularly verified and disposed of if necessary.  This exercise will also help you identify whether you need to obtain consent for processing this data.

Taking a ‘wait and see’ approach could have significant consequences for your bottom line and brand reputation.
