Julia acts for owners, charterers, managers, yacht owners and private clients in all matters of shipping and yachting law. Prior to joining the firm, she worked in the claims and insurance department of a leading Hamburg shipowner and liner operator, which allows her to bring a different perspective to the advice she provides to clients. She is a German Rechtsanwalt and qualified in 2003 after joining the firm in Hamburg in 2002.

Julia focuses on sale & purchase transactions in yachting and commercial shipping, as well as dealing with management issues of all types of vessels. She has extensive experience in yachting matters and has specialised in this area.

Julia is a keen sailor and from her years of experience in the industry has become a yachting expert, acting daily for private clients in connection with all matters relating to their yachts. This includes shipbuilding, sale & purchase/newbuilding transactions, lease set-ups, yacht management  and general claims handling.

As she began her career in commercial shipping, Julia also advises on sale & purchase transactions and newbuildings of all other types of vessels and assists owners and managers on general shipping matters. Often, Julia acts for family-owned, traditional shipping companies.

As a consequence Julia advises on corporate structures for shipping and yachting clients and assists with ship registration in Germany and the common flag states.

Moreover, she accompanied business and private aircraft projects as well as other high value assets in order to complete the support of the team's private clients.
