Jeremy has over 18 years’ experience specialising in all aspects of shipping, as well as international trade and commodities. He acts for the full range of shipping clients in multiple jurisdictions, including shipowners, charterers, pool operators, cargo Interests, shipbrokers, P&I Clubs and H&M Underwriters. Jeremy is a key member of the firm’s Greece and Turkey teams, having been closely involved in those markets for over fifteen years.

Jeremy's wide-ranging maritime expertise covers all aspects of dry and wet shipping matters encountered through the life of a vessel, from charterparty disputes and collisions, to shipbuilding and sale and purchase.

He regularly represents shipping clients in London arbitrations (LMAA, ICC, LCIA and ad-hoc arbitrations) and the English High Court, as well as in multi-jurisdictional disputes involving connected proceedings in different countries.

Jeremy also advises clients on non-contentious issues, particularly in relation to drafting of charterparty terms, shipbuilding contracts, sale and purchase, joint venture agreements, shipmanagement and shipbroking contracts, commission agreements, and pool agreements.

His expertise extends to advising commodity trading companies on all aspects of the sale and transportation of coal, steel, metals, soft commodities, crude oil, refined products and gas.
