Chris specialises in dispute resolution in the shipping sector. He is a Master Mariner and prior to qualifying as a lawyer in 2006, spent 17 years at sea on a variety of vessels, including LPG, product and crude oil carries, container ships and cross-channel ferries. He is a member of the firm's international emergency response team.

Chris acts for shipowners, P&I Clubs and hull underwriters, specialising in admiralty matters, including casualty investigation, collisions, groundings and salvage. He also advises on general dry shipping disputes, such as cargo claims and charterparty disputes.

Chris advises on cases in the English Courts and London arbitrations, as well as international litigation. He has particular expertise in India and jurisdictional issues that arise out of shipping disputes.
