Antonia specialises in dry and wet shipping, with a particular focus on dispute resolution. She draws on her time spent in-house on secondment to a large independent pool and commercial management company and a leading dry bulk operator to provide legally sound commercial solutions.

Antonia advises clients on both disputes and transactional issues, including contractual wordings, indemnities, guarantees, non-payment, termination, off-hire, liens, laytime and demurrage, detention, arrests, performance claims, general average issues, time-bars, limitation, the calculation of damages, enforcement and debt recovery strategies.

She is instructed in matters ranging from one-off operational advices, short and long term contracts and high value disputes. In particular, Antonia has specialist expertise in charterparties and bills of lading; vessel sharing and slot agreements; ship and crew management agreements; contracts of affreightment; and bulk and container vessels.

Antonia regularly acts for clients in the English Courts, arbitrations (both institutional and ad hoc) and international litigation. She also regularly deals with and manages the multi-jurisdictional elements arising in an international practice.

In addition to her shipping related work, Antonia is frequently involved in more general commercial contract and tort disputes on behalf of clients.
