Anna is a Partner in the firm’s Aviation Group. She heads the firm’s Travel practice. Her Practice covers Aviation and Travel Litigation, Regulatory and Commercial.
Anna has considerable Aviation and Travel law experience. She also has invaluable in-house experience at two major airlines, first with the Emirates Group on a long-term secondment and as Group General Counsel of the Air Arabia Group, the Middle East’s first and (then) largest LCC, where she headed the Legal team as well as Insurance claims and assisting in group strategy. Before joining Ince 5 years ago, Anna headed the Middle East regional Aviation and Dispute Resolution practices of another leading international law firm.
Her clients include a variety of airlines, insurers, travel agents, manufacturers/OEMs, MROs, flight services, ground agents and airports, lessors and financiers and other industry players.
Anna’s litigation practice is extensive, covering liability claims, contractual and commercial disputes, product liability and death, personal injury and cargo cases. She also supervises the firm’s highly experienced regulation 261 defence team, which has advised numerous airlines on thousands of claims and settlements.
She has handled a number of aviation liability accounts for underwriters and has had day to day responsibility for many high profile and complex aviation major losses, including the passenger, crew and third party claims arising from: Air France Concorde; Egyptair flight 990; Tarom Airlines flight 371,Tarom Airlines Flight 3107; Sudan Airways flight 109; Turkish Airlines flight 634; and Pamir Airways flight 112.
She has also handled numerous General Aviation losses and fatal losses, involving small aircraft, helicopters, kit built aircraft, drones, and even kite surfing.
Anna’s regulatory and commercial practice includes drafting Conditions of Carriage and Booking Conditions, applications for Foreign Carrier Permits, advising on international and domestic regulatory compliance and drafting all manner of commercial contracts from lease transactions to fuel supply agreements, aircraft maintenance agreements to aircraft purchase, GHAs, GSAs and charter agreements.
She is passionate about mentoring the next generation and has run numerous training seminars, mentored associates, and participated in mentoring schemes for school children and university LLM students.
