Zhouya specialises in all types of shipping matters such as charterparties, P&I Club LOIs, shipbuilding contracts and sales contracts. She also has experience in disputes arising from contracts of carriage of goods by sea and commodity sales. She regularly assists clients in Hong Kong and London international arbitrations in respect of disputes arising from the aforesaid areas.
Zhouya graduated from University College London in 2013, with the degree of Master of Laws in International Commercial Law with Distinction. Prior to this, she obtained the degree of Bachelor of Laws from Dalian Maritime University in 2012, and her Legal Profession Qualification (PRC Law) in 2012.
Zhouya joined Ince Shanghai in 2014. In 2017, Zhouya started her study at BPP Law School in London (which she completed with Distinction) and thereafter worked at Ince London office. She came back to Ince Shanghai in 2020.
Zhouya has been heavily involved in reviewing and advising on charterparties, P&I Club LOIs, shipbuilding contracts and sales contracts on behalf of shipowners, charterers, P&I Clubs, shipyards and cargo owners; Zhouya also specialises in resolving disputes arising from various kinds of contracts of carriage of goods by sea and commodity sales, and has good experience in Hong Kong and London international arbitration. She also assists domestic and international clients in general commercial disputes and corporate matters.
Zhouya is a practicing solicitor in England and Wales and is also qualified in the PRC (non-practicing).
Zhouya is fluent in Mandarin and English.
