EMAC Breakfast seminar Shipping and Technology Blockchain and Beyond
The Emirates Maritime Arbitration Centre (EMAC) regularly hosts breakfast sessions for the marine industry and the legal community.
On Sunday 14 October David Galea, partner at Ince & Co’s Dubai office and Dimitri Vourakis, managing director at Curiositas, explained the blockchain principle and how this can be applied to the shipping industry at the EMAC breakfast session.
Dimitri mainly spoke about the blockchain technology and other distributed ledger technology and David homed in on the various applications in the shipping industry and how blockchain is and can be used in this industry.
