Wai Yue Loh, Partner and Head of China Practice in Singapore said

“I am immensely honoured and excited by the appointment and look forward to taking the Group’s services to greater heights in Singapore, and towards growing the firm in Asia across our core sectors areas and in the other areas in which our clients operate. Singapore has become an increasingly important hub to Chinese enterprises, and I’m excited to working with Devandran Karunakaran and his team in assisting our Chinese clients on all things Singapore, and also hope to be of service to the Singapore and international clients who may have China-related legal issues.”

Devandran Karunakaran, Managing Partner of the Singapore office said:

His legal expertise and client focus, combined with his approach to business makes him well placed to deal with any challenge and the company is delighted he has taken on this role.”

As the Head of the Singapore office’s China Practice , Wai Yue Loh will help the growing number of businesses entering the Singapore market from China, and vice-versa. He will also split his time between Singapore and Beijing to continue servicing his existing clients.

The announcement follows last week’s publication of the Gordon Dadds Group’s FY18-19 Results. Gordon Dadds acquired the Beijing, Shanghai and London offices of Ince & Co last year and agreed network arrangements with the wider Ince offices in April. Gordon Dadds rebranded the firm to Ince in May.

The Group announced strong results for FY18-19, including revenue growth of 69% to £52.6m, as well as even stronger operating profit growth of 73% to £15.2 million, driven by the successful integration of a number of new acquisitions, including Ince & Co.
