Real Estate Paralegal

Assisting a Partner and team within a dynamic, expanding firm, Alen Buckley, part of The Ince Group, in Wandsworth. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated candidate who is looking for a challenging new role in supporting key members of the firm.

Based Wandsworth, London

Contract Type Permanent, Full time

Hours 9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday

Role Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the setting up of the file, and contract packs, dealing with exchange of contracts and completion of matters under supervision;
  • Obtaining Land Registry documents and dealing with Land Registry requisitions;
  • Prepare SDLT documents for the client to approve
  • Drafting documents for submission to client, such as search and mortgage reports and where required title reports;
  • Liaising with lender for redemption statements, funds for completion and response to correspondence;
  • Prepare the file for completion in advance
  • Assisting with post exchange and post completion tasks in respect of residential matters;
  • Dealing with all post completion matters including SDLT and Land Registration;
  • Liaising with estate agents and general telephone queries for residential matters;
  • Dealing with high net worth clients and providing clear updates where required;
  • Assisting with fee earner’s business development and marketing, including arranging and attending meetings and events, and preparing brochures for promotion;
  • Time-recording

Experience

  • Experience of working in a Property/Real Estate department
  • Able to evidence ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload
  • Strong communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Experienced user of Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent time management, organisational and administrative skills
  • Team player but self-motivated and able to work autonomously
