Business Development Executive

Job title:  Business Development Executive

Reporting to:  Senior Business Development Manager

Based:  Aldgate Tower, London

Flexibility:  Occasional travel to other UK offices

Contract Type:  Permanent, full time

After a period of significant growth, we are currently expanding our Marketing and Business Development (MBD) team in London. This is an exciting opportunity to join a new and forward thinking team.

Working with Ince stakeholders to raise the profile of the firm’s brand in the markets it serves, the MBD executive will identify and pursue opportunities to grow new and existing business, and increase revenue.

Specific Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the firms pitching process by preparing proposal structures and collating content, working collaboratively with fee earners and the wider MBD team to create winning propositions.
  • Stay up to date and report on market trends and competitor activity by gathering intelligent research.
  • Support the senior BD manager and wider MBD team on key client management.
  • Work with the events team and wider business to plan and organise events (seminars, roundtables, drinks receptions, etc.) in line with the MBD plans.
  • Communicate, establish and maintain relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support the senior BD manager, wider MBD team, practice heads and other fee earners to develop and implement marketing and communications plans.
  • Assist with the creation and review of content including, marketing collateral, directory submissions, fee earner biographies, and matter summaries.
  • Track fee earner matters and maintain the matter database.
  • Support the firm’s activity across the complete marketing mix.

Knowledge, Skills and attributes:

  • Law firm experience is essential
  • Relevant marketing qualification, degree and/or CIM (or equivalent qualification)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Attention to detail
  • Exceptional presentation and problem solving skills
  • Team player but self-motivated and able to work autonomously and pro-actively
  • Proven multi-tasker
  • Experience and excellent skills in all MS Office software, especially PowerPoint
  • Experience using Vuture, Wordpress and CRM systems is beneficial but not essential as full training will be provided
  • Demonstrate the ongoing use of initiative
  • Used to delivering against short deadlines
