Role Responsibilities
The IT Training Manager will lead a team of IT Trainers with varying levels of experience and be responsible for the design, development and delivery of training programmes firm wide.
Design and deliver IT learning initiatives to support the rollout of IT projects using a blended learning approach (via face to face, MS Teams, e-Learning, videos and guides).
Manage the training approach for assigned projects from design through to implementation, including up-skilling additional IT trainers where needed to support a rollout.
Work collaboratively with the immediate team to assist other members with BAU and other ad-hoc training requirements as and when needed.
Create engaging courseware and digital learning content which is in line with department standards (using Camtasia, Adobe) ensuring a blended learning approach for the business.
Design and deliver virtual BAU training to new joiners and existing colleagues using MS Teams.
Promote IT learning solutions and other IT services to our internal clients using a variety of communication channels including email, Intranet, Yammer and Teams channels.
Encourage knowledge sharing and empower staff to apply what they have learnt and resolve their own queries (Yammer posts, Top Tips, Intranet articles etc). Support the building of a self-serve culture.
Carry out biannual Personal Development Reviews with the Training Team and encourage continual feedback throughout the year.
Supervise and mentor members of the Training Team to enable them to further develop their skills and knowledge.
Person Specification
Experienced IT Training Manager with experience in a medium sized organisation in a legal or professional services environment essential.
Excellent training knowledge of the MS Suite MS Windows 7/10, Office 2016 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access).
Microsoft Office 365 experience is desirable.
Experience delivering training with specific legal applications (BigHand, iManage, Practice Management systems).
Excellent understanding of various training methodologies and learning approaches.
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
Ability to engage with all levels of stakeholders and management across the group.
Strong attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills.
Strong presentation and problem solving skills.
Team player but self-motivated and able to work autonomously and pro-actively.
Able to multi-task and prioritise changing workloads.
